I Want To Play With Your Soul

I want to play with your soul

Always doing what you're told

Well I'll have no part in that

*Please be good to me*

I want to play with your soul

You are so good and so true

But I am so tired of you

*Please be true to me*

I want to play with your soul

We danced in the the flames of the dark

I danced all over your heart

*How could you?*

I want to play with your soul

Well I would like nothing better

Than to screw with your head

*I was always good to you*

I want to play with your soul

You are good to me, it's true

And I could be good to you too

But what fun would there be in that?

*All I ever did was love you*

I want to play with your soul

When love is in the air

You will know I'm not there

Because I'm only in it for fun

*Don't you love me?*

I want to play with your soul

I'll never love you, it's sad

Not for me

But for you

*What does all this mean?*

I want to play with your soul

All I can say

Is that I'm happy today

Simply because we are through

Wrote on a similar topic a good while back (not posted), so I do very much enjoy these poems that look at things from interesting slants.

Good poem and I think the repetition was spaced just right. Wanna hear more about Human Tools :D

I read that twice, it was so intriguing. So different. Good stuff. I wonder though, which one are you? I hope you were not the one playing...but I hope that you were not the one paying either...

Thanks for all your replies. To answer your question Tattered, I'm neither. I simply liked the sound of "I want to play with your soul" and the rest developed from there. Whether these feelings (either side) reside within me is another matter...of which only I shall know. ;)
