_Zen_ Posted September 1, 2003 Report Posted September 1, 2003 girls change their minds a lot eh? at least thats what all the guys say and men spend their time bailing hay except they all do it in their own way some tax their brains day by day some sweat it out for little pay men make amends so girls will stay they get ideas and think "i just may...." and girls assume its all for a quck lay cause they dont know what most men pay now i know this doesnt account for the gay or the struggles and trials of their day but for the rest of us schmucks making our way well, this here poem is all i have to say. well? not bad for 10 mins.. maybe...
DL_Snake Posted September 2, 2003 Report Posted September 2, 2003 VERY nice! I'm sure you'll be admitted very soon. I liked your poem, very real-life. I'm just confused at one part though, at Stana 5, did you have another typo besides quick? Do you mean "...most men play" instead?
Alaeha Posted September 2, 2003 Report Posted September 2, 2003 I thought pay to be rather fitting. Saying mostly that they put more in than the girls think. It's a good poem, though it leans a bit heavily (in my opinion) on stereotypes... I rather like it. It couldn't have been easy coming up with that many "ay" endings...
_Zen_ Posted September 5, 2003 Author Report Posted September 5, 2003 naw i meant pay. kind of like a job where you would do hard physical work for a small wage. as compared to working realatively easy jobs with higher wages. thanks for the compliments. hopefully i can give you guys sometihng really nice to read next time.
Peredhil Posted September 5, 2003 Report Posted September 5, 2003 muses stereotypes... true. But in my view, used like curtains behind which we get a glimpse of a slightly different view. Of course, I read into things. As a ten minute wonder myself - I've learned to never say it's a ten minute poem. The people who take longer feel as if one is bragging or implying something about their being slower... Considers Art as a race and chuckles. I'm sure once Wyvern gets back from his latest scheme, he'll duck in here. In the meantime, I notice Melba has the latest issue of Dragon's Digest, whose lead article speaks on how to use different stones to help digest different snacks.
