Vlad Posted August 5, 2003 Report Posted August 5, 2003 To live up to expectations- It's what everybody wants. But what if you can't do it? SUCK IT UP - try again. or PACK IT UP and go to hell. Stop bothering me with your woes. What are you afraid of? Failure can't be real. You and I can't touch it- A concept, an idea of the weak. But who thought it up? Who in their right mind needs it? They do. We do too. Go ahead. Live up to an ideal. It's what we all expect.
Peredhil Posted August 5, 2003 Report Posted August 5, 2003 Burningly sardonic. I like this I think, because I don't like labels or competing against others; I'd rather compete against myself. On the other hand, If you can't better yourself... Be better than the rest so you can rub their noses in it. Peredhil knows people like this
Mira Posted August 9, 2003 Report Posted August 9, 2003 I very much enjoyed your little poetic comment on competition in the modern capitalistic society. I think that the first and last stanzas are very strong, although my favorite lines would have to be the last two of the third stanza But who thought it up? Who in their right mind needs it? They do. We do too. Keep it up, but keep improving too
Chanz Posted August 10, 2003 Report Posted August 10, 2003 I could be wrong here, but you seem very angry and pissed off. Your words brought up a good point thoug. Failure is only here because It's what we all expect. We all need it. Very well written. Nice job
