Sorciere Posted May 18, 2003 Report Posted May 18, 2003 Hi A friend directed me here because he thought I would enjoy reading some of the beautiful poems and stories written. After hovering for a few days I finally decided to register. There are some wonderful works here and I am enjoying wandering aimlessly through the various posts, I even recognise a few names! Thank you all for sharing, it's great to see the way others approach certain subjects.
smallscale_mind_games Posted May 18, 2003 Report Posted May 18, 2003 *pops out of the ground and shouts 'welcome' in german* WILKOMMEN!
Peredhil Posted May 18, 2003 Report Posted May 18, 2003 Peredhil wanders in and starts in recognition. Say! You're the one that wrote that clever shopping cart poem! I can neither confirm nor deny that I've accidently hit the heels of an old lady in the store. A quiet hello but a big welcome from me! Gives a quick hug and saunters off.
autumn_sun Posted May 19, 2003 Report Posted May 19, 2003 =Pip waves slightly= Hi! Welcome....have fun, all that lovely stuff! =with all that said, she bounds off, wolfish tail wagging=
Ayshela Posted May 19, 2003 Report Posted May 19, 2003 hello! (Ayshela waves cheerfully and wanders on to the next topic)
Falcon2001 Posted May 19, 2003 Report Posted May 19, 2003 Is your sig a Frozen Shade from Magic: The Gathering? I believe that it is, but I can't be sure ;; *Ish a magic geek*
Wyvern Posted May 19, 2003 Report Posted May 19, 2003 Wyvern briefly notes to Tass that "Sorciere" translates to "Sorceress" from French (as opposed to "Sorcery") and confirms Falcon's notion that the avatar is a pic of "Frozen Shade" from "Magic: the Gathering" before extending a scaly claw in greeting to the new honored guest: "Welcome, Sorciere! I'm glad you decided to register and are enjoying the works here... I liked your lighthearted "Shopping Cart" poem and look forward to reading more stuff from you." Having said this, Wyvern twiddles his scaly fingers a bit and whistles innocently, swaying his tail back and forth and nervously scratching at the ground with one of his clawed toes. "Ssssssay..." hisses the overgrown lizard after a long silence "I don't suppose that as a sorceress you'd have any nifty spells like "Cause Volcanic Eruption of Geld" or "Summon Master Alchemist" or something along those lines...?" Sorciere considers for a moment, then shakes her head, having never heard of those spells... mainly due to the fact that they were non-existant. "Blast!" curses Wyvern under his breath as he slowly exits the Cabaret Room "I swear... the head wizards in charge need to make a field of magic concentrated around gelding!"
Annael Posted May 19, 2003 Report Posted May 19, 2003 Lady Annael flutters in and smiles in greeting Hello there. Welcome to the Pen. I enjoyed "Shopping Cart" and hope to see more of it. And don't pay Wyvern any mind. He's always looking for one of those get rich quick schemes. The Lady Annael winks, flutters her wings and leaves in a cloud of little butterflies
Sorciere Posted May 19, 2003 Author Report Posted May 19, 2003 Thank you all for the kind welcomes! I will take your word for where my avatar comes from, as I just found it searching the net one day and fell in love with it. The fact it appears to be from Magic The Gathering is interesting and now I'll know next time anyone asks me Sorciere wanders out to read some more
Lady Celes Crusader Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 Salut Sorcière I'm glad to see you around here. (PS. I'm also known as Zakuro, hence what my sig suggest, and yes, I'm still haunting the TFB's forum)
Sorciere Posted May 22, 2003 Author Report Posted May 22, 2003 *Sorciere stares strangely at Wyvern as he exits the room and wonders if he noticed the piece of geld seemingly stuck to his tail* Sorry about the spell thing, but I am under strict instruction not to practice magic of any kind, due to the incident with the pickle, the stapler and the small ferret. (Please don't ask, I can never speak of it) Hi Zakuro, I was sure it was you, but didn't dare risk making a fool out of myself this soon after joining by talking to you in case you weren't you (I just confused myself). Glad to see some names here I know
Lady Celes Crusader Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 Hehehe. That,s fine. I still have fun with the 2-nick confusion, especially on IRC.
Matteo Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 (edited) Though normaly dextrous in his dealings with movement, the elf stumbles into the Cabaret Room rather wrecklessly. "My, am I ever late... 'tis a pleasure to make your aquaintance." As per usual, Matteo puts one arm about his midsection and bends at the waist, a bow to the guest he is in audience to. "My appologies for my tardiness, I've been in council with my muse as of late... it seams she's being a bit fickle as usual. Please allow me to remedy my rudeness... sit, if you will." Matteo pulls out a chair for the startled stranger, "I'll buy you a drink; whatever you wish." Hoping that his attempt to regain his composure was successful, Matteo takes a seat of his own. Waiting hopefully for one of the empty seats across to be utilised. "I do not wish to take you from your current engagements; all who it suits, please, have a seat. I can't garuntee the same courtesy of beverage for you all, but I'll do what I can." Tapping his geld pouch nervously, Matteo's smile is replaced by a grmace, which quickly fades. Sorciere Posted May 22, 2003 Author Report Posted May 22, 2003 *Stares kindly at the remarkable elf before her and takes up a seat opposite him* Thank you for your welcome and I would be honoured to join you in a drink
Ayshela Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 Wandering behind Matteo, Ayshela surreptitiously drops a small pouch containing a few geld under the edge of his chair. Picking it up she gently taps Matteo's shoulder and says "Excuse me, you seem to have dropped this. I regret that time does not allow me to join you, but will look for you on a future occassion."
