The Pen is Mightier than the Sword

Rotating wildly, trying to escape,

The book was firmly clasped,

In two wizened hands of esteem,

Whilst all the wizards gasped.

And sucking hungrily, flashing white,

Absorbing the air around,

Dragging force into its whirl,

The startled spell was bound.

With ceremonious strength,

The wizard tore the page,

Ripping it into shreds,

And burning it in sage.

The spell had been so evil,

The world was split in half,

No one had ever thought about,

The deadly aftermath.

Alive again and breathing flame,

A rising ferocious hound,

The wizards stopped to stare,

They were simply spellbound.

Very nice, I like it. The only problem is that it might be better placed in the Banquet Room. Hopefully a helpful elder will come along and move it :hint hint:

Good work though, this makes me wish I was more poetic...

Very neatly done.

I had a neato visual off it - until I derailed at:

burning it in sage.

it just hung me up. in rage? the wise old sage decided to burn it. broke my flow...

other than that line, I liked it bunches. :)
