Cheyenne Posted May 4, 2003 Report Posted May 4, 2003 I saw your face in a window yesterday Walking to the other side, no one was there I heard your voice in the hall last night Looking up there was just silence around me I had a thought that you needed me But it was fleeting and never quite stayed around I felt your presence and knew I was loved Yet I turned away as life would not let me be I had fires to put out and rooms to clean My life was in shambles or so it would seem The kids wouldn’t listen I was all by myself The world was at war and the job never stops Then a soft little whisper from a friend far away Sheds light on the hope of a new kind of way You know what it is; you have been there before You can recall the soft warmth that enveloped us all It has missed you my friend, as have I.
The Portrait of Zool Posted May 4, 2003 Report Posted May 4, 2003 Good to see you Cheyenne. A very sad, yet warm, well written poem you have there.
Salinye Posted May 4, 2003 Report Posted May 4, 2003 I enjoyed this and feel it flowed very smoothly. ~Salinye

Peredhil Posted May 4, 2003 Report Posted May 4, 2003 Hugs with tears in his eyes. Yeah. That says it just right. Just write?
Ozymandias Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 Beautiful, Cheyenne. Beautiful. I wish my words flowed as elegantly as yours. "Just write." I smell The Pen's first bumper sticker.
Cheyenne Posted November 18, 2003 Author Report Posted November 18, 2003 So I guess, BP, that is now is more about me than you. It made me stop and recall the people I have to thank for everything I have. You and Wyv just happen to be among them. Missing you.
Ayshela Posted November 18, 2003 Report Posted November 18, 2003 Beautiful, and well written as always. *hugs*
Cheyenne Posted February 26, 2010 Author Report Posted February 26, 2010 This was really 7 years ago? OMG!!! Where has the time gone?
Peredhil Posted February 28, 2010 Report Posted February 28, 2010 Real Life hijacks us all. On the bright side, some of us have very long memories, and once we love, we don't stop. *hugs*
Cheyenne Posted March 2, 2010 Author Report Posted March 2, 2010 (edited) Real Life hijacks us all. On the bright side, some of us have very long memories, and once we love, we don't stop. *hugs* You know, I started playing Archmage when I was living in Bates City. That would have been 1998 maybe...That would mean I met you and Wyv around 99? I started at 25 and here I am at 36 wondering where my inspiration retired too!!! Most days I am really happy to not find another grey hair and find it to be a miracle if the kids did the dishes. How is the family BP? Are you doing well? Edited March 2, 2010 by Cheyenne
