Alaeha Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 Wrote this last night. It was inspired entirely by the first line, when I had the urge to write something fun. It was. I had great fun writing it. I can just imagine some alchemist or lesser magician in a fantasy novel muttering something to this effect while trying to outdo a competitor Chemist’s Battle Chant Eye of newt and toe of frog, Onion shoot and wisp of fog, Snips of snails and viper tails. A horrid brew concocted fresh, come drink a few cups, ease your flesh. This potion tastes divine, the recipe is fine. Skull of statue, carved of stone. I will match you, bone for bone. I will win, your odds are thin of triumphing in this contest, although to tiring I’ve confessed. My training is complete, my chemistry elite.
Peredhil Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 heh, I get a great mind picture off this!
Vlad Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Hehe, this made me chuckle, and made a good day have a great end!
Alaeha Posted April 22, 2003 Author Report Posted April 22, 2003 Glad to know that it amused others as well... knowing that it affects others is what makes writing (or any other art form, I would assume) truly worthwhile.
Salinye Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 LOL I loved this. Want to know what it REALLY reminded me of? Have you ever watched Disney's The LIon King? Remember Rafiki that little baboon guy? Hume a nana stuffed banana.... It reminded me of how he chants to himself lol. Nice work, thank you for the fun! ~Salinye
