Dams breaking, Held back tenderness, A sickening longing, The expanse is too much to bear. Empty voids, Rivulets of cool liquid, New understandings, Feeling stretched too thin, yet compressed too tightly. Confusion, fear, A giddy blood-rush, Lip-quivering emotion, I can’t hold back. The rush of it all, The hold and prolonging, Never wanting to let go, Suddenly the world stops around you.
