Falcon2001 Posted March 19, 2003 Report Posted March 19, 2003 dreaming of twilight shutters blocking out the day send me around the garden twice to frolick in the haze the space between the light and day is such a mellow land I wish I could stay here forever, isn't it so grand? The space between the twilight sky the sun never sets and you'll never die a lazy wind blows ever westward, carrying the tidings of ease I'll laugh with you as we both are caressed by the breeze a simple land with nothing to fear but the coming of the day but we both know the day won't come so in the meantime let us play the space between the moonlight night the sun never rises and we're both alright jumping through the clover, dancing in the breeze we both know that it won't be over until the flame will freeze a perfect world so far from life where everyone is fine I wish so much we could stay here until the end of time I thought this up as I went, it doesn't make the most sense...but the feeling I'm getting is that there's this world, far away from everything. It's always dusk there, right before night as the sun is setting...very dark and dusky and calm and beautiful...but maybe I'm not right...oh well. Have fun reading, and please reply
Archaneus Posted March 19, 2003 Report Posted March 19, 2003 I'm replying. Great job, Falcon. You seem to be capturing a moment. The detail is perfect and overall it's just grand!
Alaeha Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 I've always wished that you could capture a moment and freeze it, and go back to that moment when you wished... There are so many moments that I would choose if I could... Like just a couple minutes ago, writing an email to a loved one... Or when I see her tomorrow. Or that moment when I held her, after sneaking up on her... Or sunset or sunrise. The two most memorable times of the day. Perhaps I should work a little on confining my thoughts, and not thinking about love while responding to people's work. But then, that's where my mind went, having read this, so what can I say? A fine piece of work. I'm glad to have read it. Keep writing, please.
Falcon2001 Posted March 20, 2003 Author Report Posted March 20, 2003 Yeah, I've always loved twilight...it's perfect. I just have this mental image of this dark, warm, peaceful land with a cloudy sky and a never-setting sun and just feeling warm and safe. I dunno, guess it's my fantasy world.
Zariah Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 You know... "The space between" is the beginning of the refrain in a Dave Matthew's song.... that was my immediate connection with those words.... I like the topic, bright and uplifting The second and third "verse" both use breeze as the end words to rhyme...which is repetitious... I like the "frolicking" mood...it is a good cheererupper....(I doubt that's a word)
Falcon2001 Posted March 21, 2003 Author Report Posted March 21, 2003 Agh, guess I got a little carried away by the Breeze...oh well And of course it's a word - you just said it, didn't you?
Alaeha Posted March 22, 2003 Report Posted March 22, 2003 well, it's making me even nervouser. Nervouser? Is that even a word? It is now, Garion just made it up! (Or something like that. My friends and I make up random words all the time. We just don't usually use them after the first time)
