Vlad Posted February 13, 2003 Report Posted February 13, 2003 When I look at you, I don't know how I feel, Great joy and sadness, All at once appeal, Wonderful in everything, You have made my stay, In this world of mortals, But please go, go away, I can't bear it any longer, To look at your smile, And that you will never, Condone my form of guile, I cannot be with you, For the differences, Of your life and mine, Flood all my senses, You are short and sweet, As kind as can be, But on the other hand, Well, it's just me, Smart and funny, Clever and witty as well, But on the other hand, This life is a hell, But you make it worthwhile, Not as many burdens, And they're easier to bear, But this... is just absurd. A poem I'm thinking of giving to a girl on Valentine's Day.
Peredhil Posted February 13, 2003 Report Posted February 13, 2003 Awww. Yeah, give her this. It's romantic and coote to write poetry for a gal. In today's cynical age, just don't expect an overwhelming response. Choose your identity and innate value - don't key it off others.
Archaneus Posted February 13, 2003 Report Posted February 13, 2003 I agree, do give. I like this one myself. So in short, good job.
Rune Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 Hmm, i read that and saw great saddness, for although you love her and the image of her.. you cannot be happy with her. It would similiar to someone falling in love with a music star but being unhappy with the lack of privacy..if that makes sense. Perhaps I read it wrong, but none the less it was a well written and heartfelt poem.
