Blondemoon Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 This is what came of finding things I had forgotten that I had. Trip down memory lane that didn't really do me much good, unfortunately. *sighs* Oh the joys of memories... my heart aches with each new tear shed over old pains. reading through old memories saved when love was new now only causes pain. swift and stabbing it comes, like a slim sliver blade driven through my heart and gut again and again as I curl up and cry. words shine through the screen reflecting off tears falling silently to the desk surface. memories found, saved on disk. things better left forgotten.
Vlad Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 I don't know if you did it on purpose, but I like how you didn't use any capitals... Reminiscent (sp?) of E.E. Cummings... or rev... gives it a smooth, hushed feel about forgetting unwanted memories.
HopperWolf Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 wow, it's good. I agree, the gentle touch is good, it really works with the topic, lending an air of sorrow and regret, instead of the anger i've been seeing of late in people in such situations. well done piece
Tasslehoff Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 Very Well Done My Fellow Writer. I hate finding old memories.
Rune Posted February 11, 2003 Report Posted February 11, 2003 sorrow found in past memories rather than pain and anger? wow! You dont see that, that often. It seems that nowadays everyone has to regret or resent their past.. and that forgiveness is rare. None the less, amazing poem as always. Thank you for sharing.
Cyril Darkcloud Posted February 11, 2003 Report Posted February 11, 2003 Only one who truly knows how to love can remember like that. – Anton Chekov Simply worded and powerfully spoken, this is a truly fine piece of writing – well done from beginning to end.
