Yabden Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 Vanishing. "There is no place to run" "There is no place to hide" "Blankness" "Boredom" "And Indifference..." "Will kill you in your stride" "I feel nothing at all" "No empathy" "Nothing of what life, is supposed to be" "Behold the black" "Discard it all" "No Time for rejoicing" "Embrace the fall" "Everything is as it seems" "Nothing is what it is" "No feeling for the world" "No place to Fear" "No place to love" "Nothing to give your emotions a shove" "Black out the day" "Bright out the night" "There is nothing to even, try to fight" "Reach out to the soft blanket of Sound" "Only to realize no hope is around" "You know you cant find it" "What you are hunting for" "You know you cant feel it" "Not anymore" "Be what you are" "You are what you see" "Not anything that you wanted to be" "No objections to finishing it off" "Yet you cannot do what you know you want" "There is a feeling stopping you now" "The feeling of hope just wont die down" "All that disguises it is but a frown."
Tasslehoff Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 WoW Yabden, I didnt know you where a poet. VERY GOOD!
Ozymandias Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 My optimistic nature sees this poem as the war we all fight at some point- our hope up against not depravity, violence, or perversity, but apathy, sloth, and callousness. They are much more frightening enemies because they are so much more subtle than overt evil, so few recognize their onset before they have done great harm. Well done.
DoomGaze Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 I agree with Tass and Ozy, very good poem indeed, keep writing, looking forward to more!
Archaneus Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 As everyone else has stated before me, good poem. I like and I can't think of anything else to say so I guess that's it. Lol. Anohter short, stupid commentary from everyone's friend Arch.
