lordsmeagol Posted January 16, 2003 Report Posted January 16, 2003 I know this makes me sound jaded. The spot you warmed in my bed. Once yours alone so you believed. Openly has been filled and taken. Now by one less forsaken. Excuse me if I seemed relieved. Even more to turn and not see your head. Did I mention the picture you left has become faded?
Peredhil Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 laughs Heh, how wonderfully dark. There are people lieing in bed prolly thinking this and wishing it were true - but too nice even in their own thoughts not to feel washed in guilt for the thought! Isn't amazing how Political Correctness in this generation has become a self-correcting form of Thought Control? Welcome to the Mighty Pen! -Peredhil
Rune Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 heh, there are probably alot of people lie'ing bed wishing they had the courage to replace the one lie'ing beside them. Great piece of writing, lordsmeagol, please post more.
Blondemoon Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 and a big OUCH to anyone who would ever be on the receiving end of this poem A great piece of writing, even if it seems a bit cruel
jonathan_wolfe Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 Peredhil - your point about self-censorship rings true, my opinion is that the media has been doing it for years, tweaking things till they ring just right... and quite fakely to my ears. It seems to be seeping into our daily lives. This poem stands against that mode.
