Shadow Puppets

 

Dancing, gamboling, promenading,

Romping, frolicking, cavorting.

A dynamic display appears

On the wall.

 

Gliding past one another,

Beautiful images bask

In the light of a

Burning Elysian candle,

 

Unbound by wax or a wick.

Puppets unencumbered

By strings move to

Manual manipulations.

 

Until all is eclipsed

By the shimmering shadow

Of moonlight beams.

Lots of imagery. I like that. This was a really well written poem
