Wyvern Posted July 23, 2002 Report Posted July 23, 2002 Interesting idea... a poem that has natural antithesis to it simply by the way it's been structured and written. The title "Duo Mantra" instantly suggests a sacred verbal formula with duality in its meaning, which is exactly what this is. The imagery is very dark, and reads almost like a Necromatic incantation of some sort... Also, the way the poem ends suggests that it's meant to be sung, which further points to the mystical and necromatic tone of the poem... Nicely constructed.
