Falcon2001 Posted June 9, 2002 Report Posted June 9, 2002 Come to me softly Bring me a new light Give me something to believe A handle in the madness A love that will help To ease the insanity Bring me a light Show me the light! Something to fight for Something to gain A heart to win over A brand new refrain So show me the light dear And open my eyes I'll give you my magic And we'll never die I'll stare into your eyes And see the distant sunrise You open up a part of me Long forgotten and abused Shine a light into my open Wound that would not heal Just live for me, that's all I ask of you, my dear Something to fight for Something to gain A heart to win over A brand new refrain So show me the light dear And open my eyes I'll give you my magic And we'll never die Shine, shine your light Be my angel for a day at least Be my perfect darling friend And so much more, I beg of you Shine, shine your faith Deep into the well of death Illuminite my secrets to burn And so much more, I beg of you Cioden Darkeye Quill-Bearer - The Pen is Mightier than the Sword President of the Peredhil Fan Club Owner of the Reply Raven - Enemy to all those who never post responses Ashaman - WoT - Blitz II Council - The Hunters - Blitz II Leisure Officer - SFV Ultima - Beta
Peredhil Posted June 9, 2002 Report Posted June 9, 2002 You are REALLY getting to be worth reading. It is so neat to compare the works you produce now with the posts you made back on the UBB. You've come so far! And I knew you had talent waaay back then. buffs his nails lightly on his vest Always strive for growth! -P
Rahsash Geldich Posted June 10, 2002 Report Posted June 10, 2002 Hmm, I believe eloquent is a good word to describe this, it flows so well. Even though the topic or tone is one fo sadness and wishing for help, you make it a plea and nto a scream fo help. Admirable. ::Applauds::
Gyrfalcon Posted June 10, 2002 Report Posted June 10, 2002 *Gyrfalcon applauds* I like this poem, Falcon. It sounds like the writer (not sure if its you or just some nameless person. *grins*) is attempting to give a girl he likes/loves something to live for, who is giving *him* something to live for. "Give me something to believe A handle in the madness A love that will help To ease the insanity" and "Just live for me, that's all I ask of you, my dear" I like it. *grins* If I ever find a girl to recite poetry to, this is one of the ones I'll consider.
