Guest Xradion Posted May 6, 2002 Report Posted May 6, 2002 Hurricanes of flame rain Down upon the unprotected Earth; as it splits open Hordes of locusts come flying Through. Four stallions of different shades Shatter the night sky: The day of reckoning Has arrived. From the deepest profundities Of murky ocean water, The shadow of a forgotten angel Immerges. A beautiful creature Draped in sapphires, emeralds And rubies. But wherever he Would step, there would only Be death. Yet he Is worshipped By the masses. Such majesty, such strength, Such wisdom, and yet, Such wanton destruction. Jackals of Famine and War Ravage the land Under the command Of this shadow’s hand. Across the desert sand, A dim light awakens. In a tin shanty town Of some unknown ghetto, A child is born. Torn apart from the heart, The child comes To show his children love And the innocence Of new life. Yet the light in the darkness Is ignored, as people stand in awe Of the gem-encrusted shadow creature. And armies fall. And princes pay the price For their life of vice As their souls are corroded And then consumed By slithering shadows. But as long as there Is love, there will be Redemption. Hearts of wood throb Together in unity With the rhythm Of nature. And the catastrophe Created from the sea Is washed away By the ebb and flow Of time, its eternal sister. Justin Silverblade Posted May 7, 2002 Report Posted May 7, 2002 Well I'll tell ya, I find it incredibly difficult to tell stories in verse, and find myself preaching emotion and ideals often in their stead. But you tell it, so well Xradion, I'm impressed. ~Hope you keep it up!~
