Justin Silverblade Posted May 2, 2002 Report Posted May 2, 2002 A little ditty I came up with when trying to come up with a villan in my head. Enjoy. Birds of the Night Silent birds of the night, With angry cry and blackened heart, Seek to find their prey so right, A quick and most deathly flight, With sharp beaks and darkened wings Into the moon they fly from sight From their post they depart. Forced by word and magic rings Dank, the soul of the mage, Whose gestures damn the mortal man To the depths, with hellish rage. Freed from his bloody cage Scorn and hatred fuel his burning way Cunning guides his new rampage To those who stand, who have not ran, Their courage and bravery shall betray. For Enos has returned.
Gyrfalcon Posted May 3, 2002 Report Posted May 3, 2002 *Gyr applauds* Ooo... evil people get their own poetry, too! I like it. =)
Guest Xradion Posted May 3, 2002 Report Posted May 3, 2002 Spoken like a true ignominious incantation, a symphony to sin, a ballad to barbarism, an ominous ode...well, you get the point. It's good. It reminds me of some of the "beware" poems that are common in fairy tales and fantasy fiction. By the way, wasn't Enos the name of some evil sorcerer (perhaps in some way related to X-Death) in Final Fantasy V? Xradion, The Horny Druid, Scholar of the Ancient Arts, Holder of the Eye of Odin. Justin Silverblade Posted May 3, 2002 Author Report Posted May 3, 2002 Thanks guys. Xradion, I'm not sure, I never played that one. He's just the name I use for my 'bad guy' character in Archmage, and RPGing.
Bhurin Posted May 4, 2002 Report Posted May 4, 2002 ... The title does not prepare the reader... I allowed myself a deep-throated growl whilst I read. Black imagery my friend. In a world full of greyish tones, you hit a black note.
