Ozymandias Posted April 30, 2002 Report Posted April 30, 2002 Four swords hang above my head, perilous, tenous tethered. The points swing lazily in the breeze, glinting cruelly in the summer sun's gaze. One threatens my mind, to pierce all that I have worked for (and have shunned); to dash the greatest tool out onto the ground The second taunts cruelly, robbing me of power until its edge is dulled -on what, I already know. The third is a brutal taskmaster, threatening to bring all down, if it should fall, so I strain to keep it up The last, is the one that I would reach if I could, and grasp it in my hand; Its keen edge unrivaled in all things I contemplate, decide, and begin to cut one down. The Portrait of Zool Posted April 30, 2002 Report Posted April 30, 2002 Excellent! Should be required reading in Eldership 101. ~Zool~ Ancient, The Pen is Mightier than the Sword. Bard of Terra, Patron Saint of Aspiring Bards. Elder than dirt, more foolish than a jester, able to trip over the smallest logic in a single step. It's... Oh, you know. Ozymandias Posted April 30, 2002 Author Report Posted April 30, 2002 Don't forget your summer assignment: How I spent my summer vacation at Ozymandias' house. A 3,501 word essay, to be typed, handwritten, and on my desk on the first day of the semester. POWERRRRRR...
Gyrfalcon Posted May 1, 2002 Report Posted May 1, 2002 *Gyr smiles an applauds* A wonderful poem, but an evil assignment. How can it be typed AND handwritten, may I ask?
Gwaihir Posted May 1, 2002 Report Posted May 1, 2002 Great poem Can it be one word repeated? aka AAAAh AAAH AAh AAAAAh aAAAa aAaAH! ... ------- I want to be page 93 of Pineapples, the Avian Crows-Nyyark
Ozymandias Posted May 2, 2002 Author Report Posted May 2, 2002 With proper punctuation Mister Gwaihir. With proper punctuation. This is a place of learning, not an internet chat room. Thanks!
Gwaihir Posted May 2, 2002 Report Posted May 2, 2002 My apologies Sir Loremaster sir! Maybe my lack of punctuation was had a postmodernist meaning? Ever thought of that? (no, wait, I hate postmodernist) Umm, It didn't need punctuation! yeah, there I go. The sentence wasn't over yet (having not made the trip I couldn't scream about it properly), so the punct doesn't belong yet! ---------- I want to be page 93 of Pineapples, the Avian Crows-Nyyark
Ozymandias Posted May 2, 2002 Author Report Posted May 2, 2002 "Punct"? "PUNCT"? See me after class, Mister Gwaihir. Now if everyone would turn in their books to Chapter Five: "The Lumpenproletariat Approach"...

Orlan Posted May 4, 2002 Report Posted May 4, 2002 This is the reason I bought the school. It's easier when you only have to answer to your sleep addiction.
