[Guest Heart Like A Hole]

a handful of photographs

see it? the girl stands, resting her

head upon his chest,

she can still remember the way it felt to breathe his breath

 

they couldn't feel the cold from where they were standing

 

intense grey eyes peer through the film

as though he's still there

a piece of him claimed in the picture

for her to keep by her side

 

he doesn't know it, but he's captured the girl

as much as the twilight

through the lens

she is his, and oh so proudly

she is not smiling, but oh, love is there too

he's captured the girl

and she could ask for no better fate

 

there is no cold where they're standing

see it? they aren't smiling

but you can see, if you stare

that love is there, too

...incredibly cool stuff. Yeah, that'll have to do.

 

Anyway, I'm amazed again at your vividity (Is that a word?) and imagery in this...wonderful use of words in this.
