Guest Heart Like A Hole Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 there's no time to break down pick up my littered pieces and pull myself back off the ground i can't sleep at night i keep shaking the hands that break me and i smile though i'd rather be crying and i breathe though i feel more like dying it's cold here just like jesus never came just like you promised me it'd be when i called your name but what can i do there's no where to turn to gotta keep my stride no place left to hide hit the ground running no time left to cry one foot faster than the devil my pace is frantic my life is hectic but in this world as it is i've got to bite the hands that freed me what did you expect to find? a better child? a grateful woman? well i offer you no peace of mind keep crawling when my skin is gone keep pulling as my finger bleed i still can't sleep but there's no time to worry now i'll make it through and i'll just keep running until i learn how there's no time for breaking down pick myself back off the ground and though i want to sleep and hide i just keep moving there's no time left to cry
Nyyark Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 YES! thats what I felt so often. Your work is right. It fits. I'm sorry, I had hoped I was alone. Edited by: Nyyark at: 3/5/02 3:13:31 pm
Falcon2001 Posted March 6, 2002 Report Posted March 6, 2002 I've always felt this way and never been able to truly express how it feels, I thank you sincerely for this poem. And about your name, no matter how cold or evil you think you or anyone else is, there's still a capacity for life. Trust me. I know. Guest Heart Like A Hole Posted March 6, 2002 Report Posted March 6, 2002 Thank you, Will, for the much appreciated feedback. In case you hadn't realized it, this is Shadowflower. I told you I'd finally join the Pen one of these days. Once more - thanks again. ~Porcelain Shadowflower "Heart Like A Hole"
Falcon2001 Posted March 7, 2002 Report Posted March 7, 2002 I knew it was you, the name made me think, and the poetic style is the same, but I thought you registered under Porcelain. Anyway, welcome to The Pen!
