Falcon2001 Posted February 28, 2002 Report Posted February 28, 2002 This is to the girl for me, wherever and whenever she is. I've dreamed about you a lot before You run through my mind like rain Without a message or a lore But from hurting me you refrain And I love you so much it hurts Even though I'll never know you Maybe we'll meet and then we'll flirt And then I'll say to you You're the woman of my dreams The one that's kept me awake late at night You're the woman of my dreams So nice to meet you, can I love you right? You're so beautiful under the moon In a star-filled imaginary sky You're brighter than the sun at noon And I'll never ask you why You love me, cause I'll know it's true The way that we love each other But you don't exist so I'm so blue Guess I'll go back to my druthers You're the woman of my dreams The one that's beautiful and kind You're the woman of my dreams So sad to have to say goodbye But you're a fiction of my dark mind Nothing but imagination and lies And so I'll wait for you in kind And sit alone and always cry You're a nice tale, but not so true A myth or a legend to me So I'll keep dreaming about you And how you might complete me You're the woman of my dreams So sorry you don't really exist You're the woman of my dreams And now I'm feeling selfish I sit alone at night and dream Of a lovely woman, that's you Who's always kind and never mean Life sure can be so really cruel So I guess I'll keep dreaming About the distant future And what it might hold for me And what it might not... And what it will not hold for me Cioden Darkeye Quill-Bearer - The Pen is Mightier than the Sword President of the Peredhil Fan Club Owner of the Reply Raven - Enemy to all those who never post responses Ashaman - WoT - Blitz II Council - The Hunters - Blitz II Leisure Officer - SFV Ultima - Beta
Gyrfalcon Posted March 1, 2002 Report Posted March 1, 2002 *Gyr applauds* An excellent poem, but you will find that special girl that you'll love... or so I've been informed. *grin*
Guest Cheye69 Posted March 1, 2002 Report Posted March 1, 2002 Bravo! very well put. I look forward to more from you with eagerness....
Tralla Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 We all have dreams, it seems, that we mourn over because they can never be. For those of us that are lucky enough to have the gift of putting our dreams to words, I think it is somewhat different... We give them a kind of life, but not the kind we'd like. *Stops, reads what she wrote, and scratches her head in confusion* Hm... I'm getting philosophical... *Goes off to take her temperature*
Ozymandias Posted March 6, 2002 Report Posted March 6, 2002 Ozymandias claps solemnly. "I feel I must disagree somewhat, Sir." Undoing the clasp on his hip flask, he deftly opens it with one hand while fishing for his shot glasses. A drink is poured for Falcon first, then Gyrfalcon, Cheyenne, and finally Ozymandias pours one for himself (Tralla taking concerned bed rest). "To all things possible," he says to the room, "yet highly improbable."
Guest Heart Like A Hole Posted March 8, 2002 Report Posted March 8, 2002 No matter how dark the night, no matter how deep the wound, nothing is impossible. The sun will rise, the scars will fade, and you'd be surprised what life has in store for those who dare to dream. (Pardon the preachy-ness of this, but hell, Will, you've told me this so many times, my friend... It's about time someone reminded you... It can't rain all the time.) By the way, I loved the poem. One of your better works. ~Porcelain
Guest Heart Like A Hole Posted March 11, 2002 Report Posted March 11, 2002 Yes, I am a great admirer of his work. I find his comic to be nothing short of a masterpiece, and the movie The Crow was absolutely wonderful. ~Porcelain "Heart Like A Hole"
Ozymandias Posted March 13, 2002 Report Posted March 13, 2002 I know his personal story, and have nothing but admiration for him. Unfortunately, I have only seen the movie (which is terrific), not read the comics.
