Chocolate pie, yum!

Banana me babykins,

Who needs pants? Not I!

I'd be more frightened,

If I started to make sense.

Just run fast away.

Muzukashi desu!

Nihongo no testo wa

Totemo iya-ne

Though it doesn't follow the same syllable structure in English, the poem roughly translates to:

It is difficult!

The Japanese test is

Very annoying

Here's my 5-7-5s

Falcon laughs aloud

While flinging fireballs around

At his classmates' heads

In my mind and soul

Music lives and breathes in joy

The mind of a poet

Sugar sugar lots of it

All I need is found in pop

7-UP, you're my god

Shapely curves always

Pale as milk with heart of steel

I love thee, guitar

Haikus are, as you probably know, three line poems with five syllables in the first line, seven in the second, and five in the third.

So, everyone come post goofy haikus!

Haikus are happy,

Even in the rain in Spain,

Love them Sam I am!

Good evening moon,

You are wonderful and beautiful

King of the night...

Orange, poets' bane

Your name cursed till end of time

Searching lost for rhyme

P.S.-

Orlan, you've officially frightened me.

Hmmm, although I know BPO

What's a orange poet bane?

Is he, stick, orange?

I understand your confusion, and have attempted to edit for clarity. This haiku sprung to mind when I read BP's "A poem, a weird, weird poem". Trying to rhyme the word bunnies made me think of THE impossible word to rhyme- orange.

Celes who had never been in poetry much looks at this Haiku thread and wonders if she could give it a try.

In a pitch black night

A shooting star goes its flight

And I cry outloud

- "Humph! I don't know if it makes sense," the Frenchie commented, "but I guess it follows the rule."

She raises her shoulder up and puts up her try among the others.

I'm tempted to write

a haiku mocking humans,

but I will resist
