Tralla Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 Noticably lighter than my normal style... We had an assignment in English for Valentine's Day. We had to write a love-themed poem. Everyone was going bitter, so I thought I'd try something a little... different. ---------------- "Narcissism" Raising my head, What do I see? Who's this beautiful creature Staring at me? With hair like spun gold And eyes like the sun, Lips rosey red And a dimple for fun. A face that stays lovely Throughout all time... Oh geez I just realized I'm thinking in rhyme! ~ ~ ~ With a small sigh, I blow a kiss to the mirror and exit the room.
Guest Jess Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 I like that. It's short, sweet, and it strays from the normal conception of "I hate myself" that is so often present in poetry (definetly is in mine). Well done. –Jess

The Portrait of Zool Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 Nicely done! ~Zool~ Ancient, The Pen is Mightier than the Sword. Bard of Terra, Patron Saint of Aspiring Bards. Elder than dirt, more foolish than a jester, able to trip over the smallest logic in a single step. It's... Oh, you know.
