Guest Turi Posted November 20, 2001 Report Posted November 20, 2001 Here are some of my poems. Most of them was written when I was either really sad or depressed so that's why most of them are so sad. They reflect parts of my life so I would appreciate it if you don't make silly jokes about them, but ofcourse you do as you please since there's no way I could stop you. Anyways, I hope you like a few of them. If love was If love was a thing I would hold it tight. If love was a thing I would keep it safe. If love was a thing I would share it with others. If love was a thing I would enjoy it forever. If love was a dream I would dream more often. If love was a dream I would keep my hopes up. If love was a dream I would tell others about it. If love was a dream I would let it consume me. If love was a feeling I would be more sensitive. If love was a feeling I would not be afraid. If love was a feeling I would feel with others. If love was a feeling I would live a happy life. They say that when love is a thing then it's dirty. They say that when love is a dream then it's unreachable. They say that when love is a feeling then it's heartbreaking. Why do they say that love is wonderful and beautiful? I hope love is a something sweet and protecting. I hope love fills my pleasant dreams at night and gives me hope. I hope love is a feeling that makes me happy. I hope true love will take me in its arms and treat me well. Defeat My face I cover with my hand My spirit died I can not stand I look for hope but find it not My love has been put out to rot Death will bring me some relief My heart was stolen by a thief My soul will never rest in peace My search for love will not sease Even though my heart did breake The love I gave was not a mistake Though I saw it coming to late I can not bring myself to hate Pain will make my life go on The war someone else has won Defeat will be my way of life The rest will be a long strife If I could my whole life relive I know my love again I'd give Cause my love was clean and pure It exceeds the pain I will endure Wounded Wounded I bow my head to the grave Wounded I look at my future to come Wounded I see what life has brought me Wounded I fall asleep at night Bleeding I wipe my tears from my eyes Bleeding I rise to face a new day Bleeding I sing my slavery blues Bleeding I go to bed at night Hopeless I fight the day with you Hopeless I remember the good times Hopeless I remember my love to you Hopeless I fight the night without you Thirsty I wonder through the gates Thirsty I see the hideaos monster Thirsty I fight with all I have Thirsty I my life passes me by Crying I see your face before me Crying I feel your arms lifting me Crying I hear your voice comfort me Crying I know you care for me Dieing I see the light to come Dieing I feel the pain inside Dieing I hear your scream echo Dieing I know your heart at last Dead I see you from the heavens Dead I see your tears fall down Dead I try to comfort you Dead I hear you say you love me Forgotten I look at you every day Forgotten I cover you from evil Forgotten I live inside your heart Forgotten I love you still Weary A bright light from the window looks down at me from up above. It seeks and finds a lonely soul. Alone with the light as company. I am weary from lying alone, alone, I am weary from lying alone. Tell me of the water that flows down the river full of life. Make me the river of your heart, give me life with your preasense. I am weary from lying alone, alone, I am weary from lying alone. If I leave now I leave the future if I turn away I do it with dispair. The truth is that I am dying inside. I have been waiting so long all alone. I am weary from lying alone, alone, I am weary from lying alone. You see me lying alone in the dark, all alone with my sorrows, all alone. Take me in your arms and guide me home. Make me your own cause I am so empty I am weary from lying alone, alone, I am weary from lying alone. Captured Out in the darkness there is no hope none to help you from your captives rope You hope that someone will set you free but there is no comfort in what you see Far away your thoughts will carry to the past when you were merry Your dreams are shattered by reality the coldness, pain and cruelty You hear the laughs when you scream what will happen to your future dream will your life ever be the same again will your trust in people ever regain The thoughts rush through your mind when someone sneaks up from behind they put a knife against your neck if you survive you'll be a wreck The memory haunts you forevermore Now your heart has become so sore You will never be able to trust you hide yourself until you're dust They say that time will heal memories but you only see time seal memories As time pass by you close your door you feel so used, just like a whore If anyone had listened to your screams Then surely you would have your dreams But there were noone to set you free There weren't anyone there for me Words A word describes my every side of what I show and what I hide There are no feelings I can show that does not have a word I know A word can give me peace at night and even tell me wrong from right There is a word for every moment a word of hope, a word of torment A word has power to break apart to kill the spark of a shattered heart It does not pity it does not fear to hurt the ones you hold so dear I wish my words would rise above so they would heal and fill with love Words of kindness, hope and beauty is my wish, my hope, our duty

Wyvern Posted November 22, 2001 Report Posted November 22, 2001 Very well done Turi. I especially liked the poems "Words" and "Wounded". I applaud you and encourage you to post more of them as you come up with them. [image]http://www.legion-whiterose.com/signatures/aoa/wyv.gif[/image] ------------------------------ Almost a Dragon... Gwaihir Posted November 23, 2001 Report Posted November 23, 2001 Wow, nice. I think I like Defeated most, lots of fun. Maybe a bit of punctuation though?
