Guest Rhapsody Posted December 30, 2002 Report Posted December 30, 2002 Short and sweet. Turbulence! The river rages Against the dam, erect for ages My doubt returns, a flood downstream And reason crumbles before my dream
Guest Rune Posted December 31, 2002 Report Posted December 31, 2002 I always like poems or stories similiar to this. They start off and your mind gets a mental picture of something (in this case, an actual dam breaking / natural disaster), and then mid way it violently switches (to self doubt) adding a sort of BAM impact to the poem that sticks in your mind. I really like it.
