The Pen is Mightier than the Sword

Imagine the depth, the height and width

Now flip the world endwise and add color

Add a fourth and a fifth to the pattern

And fill in the gaps with little horrors

Now sit in the center and unravel yourself

Glance around with a thousand eyes

That all glimmer uselessly in the night

Pull on your tangled webs and feel life

Fill yourself with the beat and the

Rhythm

I find two views of life, and it seems to depend if the individual lives life as a series of sequential states (like flipping through a deck of cards) or lives life as a flow through time (like a leaf navigating a river).

The state thinkers tend to be individual identies, defined by themselves, and then put in relation to the world. They have more difficulties in relationships and the emotions thereof, than in being alone.

the process thinkers tend to be an intersection of relationships, and their identity is defined by how others perceive them. They have difficulty being alone, for without another to define them - they don't exist.

Neat poem.
