Guest Psimon2001 Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 *blows the dust off another oldie... *Cough...Cough...* House ***** A long time has passed since this place has seen life felt the pressure of humanity on it's worn dusty floorboards The laughter in the hallway has echoed to stillness The weeping of the eaves has been silenced by a breath Yes, a long time has passed since that fast and foolish evening when the jealous mistress of love's folly came calling It was a love without boundaries a life filled with passion and fire stolen moments, a heartbeat away embracing the quiet night of flesh A will to preserve the time to remember it always as this was discussed in hushed tones resolve taking form in an action On a moonlit night love fell into death's cold embrace Indeed, a long time has passed since this place has seen life... But the passion will always remain.
Guest Lord Seth Exodus Posted September 27, 2002 Report Posted September 27, 2002 You know, I don't care for free-verse poems; they're just not my thing. But this...this is something else, Psimon. I'm not exactly sure what it is, but I do like this poem, very much in fact. I especially like the mood and scene set in the last stanza, accented by the final line. Bravo! Sincerely, Lord Seth Exodus
