Nyyark Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 Who travels for the end of the jouney? Who watches for the end of a movie? Where is the point on the path that satisfies my desires? Perhaps is the color of time, and the walking hours.
Gwaihir Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 Great poem. It really got me thinking, so I hope you don't mind that I added a reply. So as I walk along this hot and dusty road, Should I enjoy the sun, so hot it hurts? Should I appreciate this parching thirst? No way! I travel to arrive, to you. I'll rest, airconditioned, on your sofa, And feel the cold water run down my throat As I sit and hug you my darling wife. ---------- I want to be page 93 of Pineapples, the Avian Crows-Nyyark
Nyyark Posted September 2, 2002 Author Report Posted September 2, 2002 Ups and downs of satisfaction and desire Joy and sadness, the sine wave of a lover A beautiful equation when seen in the whole Curves are more with their counter-part told Its is not point A nor point B, but the line in-between, The art of life finished only when entirely seen.
Gwaihir Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 The art of life is finished when it's seen, because the end is the best part my friend! Many strive to reach heaven at the end. For us, heaven is better than all life Again, to put it in another way We're born, we cry and in the end we sleep. When life is hard; you're feeling down at heart, You think you'll really say life is so great? It's much much easier to love one's life When everything is goign beautifully! ---------- I want to be page 93 of Pineapples, the Avian Crows-Nyyark
Nyyark Posted September 6, 2002 Author Report Posted September 6, 2002 As the course of the banquet runs its end, Do not be an unpleasant guest. Little is known of the next send, And how its flavors will best Complement the previous. So why hurry to the end of the feast? Surely you'll be satisfied, but never again fed. Why scorn that which is the least? Just allow your self to be led Through things nice and things grievous.
Gwaihir Posted September 7, 2002 Report Posted September 7, 2002 If it is your banquet... Knowing your taste I'm sure I'd be dying to see it end! Well, I'm kidding but then, in seriousness: You say that no one should anticipate? Have you never enjoyed suspense my friend? It's not that I can't stand my life at all. I'm not sitting around waiting to die. But still, I think that the end will be best. I have no idea what t'will be like; I'm in suspense, but I like it like that. ---------- I want to be page 93 of Pineapples, the Avian Crows-Nyyark
