The Dark Fortress...

Ladies and gents, I so rarely post here, that I should forever be an initate - and this time when I finally post, I post because one of my fellow AM guildmates wrote a short but great text I thougth I should share with you. It was for the ArchMage guild, Army of Darkness's new website; The Dark Fortress.

 

It was written by someone I suspect a few of you know, but perhaps with a different name Thanks Enos, hope you do not mind me sharing it with others...

There it stood, as you looked on: Looming high on browned hill and below blackened sky. Built with the cold stone of evil, and the hot iron of passion. Carved, shaped, and twisted by the malicious aura that hung like a cloud amidst the walls. There it proclaimed in silent shouts to you just what it was. There stood the Fortress of Darkness.

 

And as you peered at its bloody gates, be you strong warriors of the good and pure, or young apprentices of the shade, you could not help but understand that which stood to test you. The Dark Fortress stood as a monument, and gathering place, for all things conniving, deceptive, fallacious, and evil: The Army of Darkness. From all corners of Terra, this one place is known, feared… hated. Even the moon hid behind the clouds, as you approached. It would not be seen with you at the gates of the foul. Reaching for the gates, you here but one voice, perfect in its malevolence. You are left with its few words, and then a laughter that spawns forth a sense of dread.
