Dreynan sang, and sang, and sang. Her pure alto voice rang out in clear tones, and found each note clearly and easily. She watched, as her father played the lute, and her brother danced with her sister. She reached her favorite part of the song, now, where the woman met the man. Just as she was about to drop lower to sing the man's part (as she did have quite a wide range), a bold, bass voice rang out, just as clearly as hers.

His deep tones resounded throughout the room, and the dancers almost halted to see who had joined the song-- as beautiful as it was before, this man obviously had just as much talent as Dreynan, and she was the pride of their clan, as far as song was concerned, anyway.

Although Dreynan's father had stumbled on the lute when the man first joined, he then continued perfectly, the low chords of both instrument and voice joined together and fused into one beautiful accompaniment, each sounding throughout the room and nearly echoing back; the two complimented eachother so well, it seemed as if it were one sound instead of two.

Now it was a difficult part--both the man and woman's parts had to sing in short bursts, and compliment eachother well. Their voices rang out, matching the fast tempo set by the lute, faster and faster, and still clear and beautiful as ever.

Finally, all three sounds combined into one for the climax of the song-- where the man betrays the woman. Suddenly, the stranger's eyes cloud over... his voice falters, but Dreynan takes his hand. Their eyes meet, both still singing, and the manage to smile while continuing the song. The man regains his voice, and finishes stronger and with more force than he had brought forth before. They traced over the final lines, in which the woman forgave the man, and they lived together forever in happiness... in one final note, the quick paced song came to an end, and the father smiled at the pair.

As the man started to walk away, Dreynan found her hand on his shoulder. He turned, and she kissed him, then asked: "What is your name?"

OOC: Sorry, yet again I didn't think I was in the right mood to write on Legend, so I used this as a warm up... developing some sort of a theme here, I see... troubling... tomorrow I'll have to use hatred or something.
