Snypiuer Posted September 27, 2023 Report Posted September 27, 2023 I actually have some things I want to write but have been dealing with car problems for last week, or so. As soon as I get my ___ together, I'll get to it! Hopefully soon. Quote
Peredhil Posted September 27, 2023 Report Posted September 27, 2023 I pray that your problems work out soon. I LIKE your writing. Quote
James Crow Posted October 2, 2023 Report Posted October 2, 2023 (edited) It seems cars are always problems. But I hope it's not to much of a pain and you get it fixed soon. Edited October 2, 2023 by James Crow Quote
Snypiuer Posted October 3, 2023 Author Report Posted October 3, 2023 JAMES!!! GREAT TO SEE YOU!!! Well, some people live paycheck to paycheck, Snypiuer seems to live crisis to crisis and DREAMS of living paycheck to paycheck. LUCKILY, Snypiuer is far too accustomed to his plight to worry and laughs, LAUGHS I SAY!!!, in the face of his adversities. Meanwhile Vibble "Vibs", the frog that lives in Snypiuers' pocket, is terrifed of the laughter stopping. Snypiuer commiserates with Vibs. Quote
Snypiuer Posted October 25, 2023 Author Report Posted October 25, 2023 Vibs is getting REALLY nervous. First auto shop, "Major problem, fix costs more than car is worth. That'll be a gross amount of money just for the bad news." Specialist shop (after a couple of weeks waiting for an appointment opening), "No, probably not, couple of moderately priced problems that can make it APPEAR to have a major problem. We don't fix them here. Get them done and we'll take another look for you." Snypiuer, "How much do I owe you?" Specialist shop, "Nothing, we just checked it." Snypiuer calls first shop, "Took car to specialist, said you miss diagnosed problem and they didn't even charge me to check, can I get a refund of the gross amount of money I paid you?" First shop, "No." Snypiuer: Waiting for opening at DIFFERENT shop to get smaller problems looked into. Vibs, filled with anxiety, stares at Snypiuer. Snypiuer, "Don't worry Vibs, by the time I get everything fixed, we'll be well into World War III and have a whole different set of problems to deal with." Vibs sheds a single tear and trembles. Comforting hugs all around! 2 Quote
Harmonious_Echos Posted November 9, 2023 Report Posted November 9, 2023 Ugh. Gross amounts of money are for dragons, or miserable rich widows who stare morosely through tall dark windows in overly-elegant rose-colored bathrobes... The second place sounds nice, though. Too bad they couldn't actually help there! Sending comforting thoughts to Vibs, I too have felt the existential dread of the Ages on this side of the pendulum's swing. And I have a thing for frogs, obviously. 1 Quote
Snypiuer Posted March 6 Author Report Posted March 6 Vibs is actively seeking counseling and Snypiuers' luck is running. And I mean RUN-NING. Once I figure out where to start . . . well . . . we'll see.🥴😵🤯 1 Quote
Harmonious_Echos Posted March 15 Report Posted March 15 Doesn't counseling REQUIRE gross amounts of money though? Easier (and cheaper) to just stare at a brick wall & watch it crumble... not like we can do anything about the situation anyway 😔And that's the real horror... Money requires money requires money. Sure would be nice if living INSIDE a budget wasn't an actual fantasy. Sigh... **Goes to watch bricks crumble 1 Quote
