The Portrait of Zool Posted November 20, 2013 Author Report Posted November 20, 2013 I like it - kind of poppish, but better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKqoJtMr_5E Quote

The Portrait of Zool Posted November 20, 2013 Author Report Posted November 20, 2013 Another new record: Quote
Brighid of Byrness Posted November 20, 2013 Report Posted November 20, 2013 Hmmm....interesting. I'm not listening to music tonight...just the random crackle and pop of my fire. But I'm enjoying checking out your musical interludes Quote
The Portrait of Zool Posted November 20, 2013 Author Report Posted November 20, 2013 (edited) It's a great album - the first song is not the best by any means. We made a fire tonight too! It's starting to rain outside - welcome winter! Edited November 20, 2013 by The Portrait of Zool Quote
Brighid of Byrness Posted November 21, 2013 Report Posted November 21, 2013 The headache I woke with has returned... ...but I'm determined to make a dent in the huge stack of papers I need to grade. First, I need to stop watching youtube videos my whole planning period! I bought this album on vinyl last year soley because my favorite bass player Nick Beggs (along with Chris Squire and the late Peter Steele) was part of the project. This is one of my favorite tracks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5bKYYfaLgcg&list=PLk9HQ3DdqSJTAPTy9tNn6FRhJXOi8UYQU Quote
The Portrait of Zool Posted November 22, 2013 Author Report Posted November 22, 2013 Yeesh - busy day for me too! Hope you're feeling better. Nice track! I'm not listening to much tonight - just kicking back. Maybe I'll put something on later. Quote
The Portrait of Zool Posted November 22, 2013 Author Report Posted November 22, 2013 This is an old favorite of mine. I had never heard this version before, but I found it on youtube and it's pretty good. Quote
The Portrait of Zool Posted November 22, 2013 Author Report Posted November 22, 2013 (edited) I actually have this record on too! Great record! Edited November 22, 2013 by The Portrait of Zool Quote
Brighid of Byrness Posted November 23, 2013 Report Posted November 23, 2013 Pulp fiction! ^^ I'm listening to some Pink Floyd. On the turntable: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zACEJdFOpA Quote
The Portrait of Zool Posted November 23, 2013 Author Report Posted November 23, 2013 I'm not a big Pink Floy fan - but that is a great song! I'm slumming it tonight: http://www.radiogaia.com.br/ Quote
Brighid of Byrness Posted November 23, 2013 Report Posted November 23, 2013 Turning on some Beatles...something simple to accompany my housecleaning! Happy Saturday morning.... Quote
Brighid of Byrness Posted November 23, 2013 Report Posted November 23, 2013 Settling in with King Crimson to write a reply in the JttCotP thread -- adding a bit of heavy edginess (I hope) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=52jWnPogtPw Quote
Brighid of Byrness Posted November 24, 2013 Report Posted November 24, 2013 More grading...and college recommendation letters to write -- seems like "working" has been the theme lately for many of my friends on here and elsewhere "...until there's nothing left for you..." Quote
Brighid of Byrness Posted November 24, 2013 Report Posted November 24, 2013 Just got back from the gym; it's freezing out there! Sitting here listening to an awesome psychedelic/prog instrumental album while a pot of beef stew bubbles away on the stove top...darkness is approaching I can't find a video, but here's a link to the album. One of my favorite tracks is #3... on vinyl it's called "Silence Breath Echo." http://lightintheattic.net/releases/831-liventure-21 All I can find is a video review of the album... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1PMcr2-1YTI Quote
The Portrait of Zool Posted November 24, 2013 Author Report Posted November 24, 2013 Wow - I like that! I just bought the LP. Quote
The Portrait of Zool Posted November 25, 2013 Author Report Posted November 25, 2013 I actually found this LP on sale some time ago for $5 - and I LOVE IT! It's great at parties. Quote
Brighid of Byrness Posted November 25, 2013 Report Posted November 25, 2013 Wow - I like that! I just bought the LP. You mean you just bought the Vespero album? Or you had previously bought it? Cool either way! And the Oasis LP would be a good one for a party Quote
The Portrait of Zool Posted November 25, 2013 Author Report Posted November 25, 2013 (edited) I mean I just now looked it up on Amazon and bought it. Been a busy day for me - hope to have some Pen time tomorrow! Edited November 25, 2013 by The Portrait of Zool Quote

Brighid of Byrness Posted November 26, 2013 Report Posted November 26, 2013 A friend of mine from a prog site messaged me today and asked what I thought of the Russian band iamthemorning. I downloaded their album awhile back, so I just put on the CD after a long break. I really like the piano player http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZT0xBmxrZ0 Quote
