James Crow Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 (edited) Tomorrow will be a dream come true, As I take a walk with you. Through the field of flowers where the bees happily buzz. Into the forest where the birds perch to sing. Up in the mountains where the wolves howl at the full moon. And to the waterfall where we will fall in love. But what would happen to tomorrow, If yesterday didn't lead to today. Would the flowers not bloom for the bees to buzz. Would the perch not exist for the birds to sing. Would the moon not shine for the wolves to howl. And would we not fall in love. That won't happen, Because yesterday I went out and found. A field of flowers that made me buzz. A forest of perches that made me sing. A mountain that made me see the full moon. And a waterfall that made me wish I was in love. Today I will ask you, If you like to go on a walk tomorrow. Where the bees buzzed around the flowers. Where the birds perched to sing. Where the wolves howled at the full moon. And where you will fall in love. And you will say yes. Mardrax Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 Very nice indeed James. I like how the recurring parts make up a structure, with continually shifting meanings. It reinforces the whole, which might be somewhat cliche, into a really powerful piece. The closing "And you will.." enforces that empowerment quite nicely. Well done ^^
