Wyvern Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 Looks like this is shaping up to be a pretty fun story, Patrick. :-) It's too early to judge obviously, but I do like the title and the somewhat comic tone of the narrator's diary, not to mention the focal points that the adventurer chooses to write about. I like how in the first Day's entry, there's a playful awareness of the cliche that taverns represent as a starting point in RPGs, and I also like the tongue-in-cheek way that the narrator touches upon it. In the entry of Day 3, the adjective "Bloody" threw me off a bit as I thought it might be literal at first... it is a fantasy involving the king's men rallying in recruits, after all! Anyway, curious to see whether you take this story in more of a serious or more of a comical direction Patrick, though nothing's stopping you from covering'em both.
Patrick Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 Thanks for your comments Wyv. It's just a semi-tongue-in-cheek story that I came up with, and apart from having fun with it, I don't really see where it will be going apart from the next few posts. We'll just have to see what I can come up with.
