Inside Outside

Outside the clouds are twisting, shrouding,

Inside the darkness banished, dying,

Outside the wind is calling, calling,

Inside the stillness growing, laughing,

Outside the fey blood quickens, pulses,

Inside the normal snickers, thrives,

Outside the tree limbs thrash, dance,

Inside the dead trees freeze, stay,

Outside the free ones laugh, shriek,

Inside the captive freeze, weep.
