William Nolan, male, 15.

Blacksmith.

Became the man of the house a year ago when father was gored by a boar during a hunting trip. Takes the responsiblity of having to look after his mother and two younger sisters seriously, partly in an attempt to 'make up' for the anger he feels at his father for leaving him in such a position.

Average height, but strong from smithing work.

(if anyone wants to play one of his sisters, feel free)

Olayna Nolan, 14, William's sister.

Brattish girl, she's starting to make eyes to guys - preferably older guys, to her protective brother's disgust. Olayna and William got along well enough until their father died, and from that point onwards Olayna made a point of opposing William in everything she possibly can. William has more than once tried to make Olayna care for their baby sister, to which she replies that their mother needs some kind of occupation - and promptly disappears from William's sight to do some kind of mischief (in his eyes).

Average height, long wavy dark hair framing alluring green eyes that flash like a cat's when she's angry or excited. Has a sharp tongue, directed mostly to her brother who she considers a bully.

If anyone wants to be Olayna's current interest(s), feel free to ;)

Aaron. Last name unknown, commonly called Longbow.

Aaron is a forester in his mid to late 20's and can often be found walking the paths of the forest around the village. He keeps to himself a lot - not that he's stand-off ish, it's more that he just tends to prefer his own company to that of most of the village. None the less, he's often looked upon with something approaching affection by the locals who see him as a protector. His habit of providing the occasional rabbit or pigeon to families in need of food might have something to do with this - certainly he's good with the bow he usually carries with him.

Boys in the village can often be found nearby, hoping for tales of the deep forest or lessons in tracking, hunting, snaring or whatever else Aaron might talk about to those who are eager to learn and their parents tolerate it because there are worse things that children can grow up learning than practical forestry skills.

Hmm, sounds interesting, I should be able to play, but am drawing a blank on a character... I'll read through the intro stuff and talk to my usual sources and see what I come up with...

Do the Elders have to approve you to play?

Not at all! :)

You are perfectly ok to play as an Honored Guest, and we'll be more than happy to have you in the game. The only requirement is that you're able to post at least once every 48 hours (day phase length), and that you can RP ;)

That is, of course, unless you are (un)dead. Not breathing seems to be a good excuse to be idle for longer than that. ;)

Character : Captain Mario Delas, retired-pirate-in-a-wheelchair.

Mario was once a very successful pirate (ie : he stayed alive and got quite a lot of treasure buried in places he doesn't even remember) once, until one day he just got fed up with it. He decided to retire in a quiet little village where, coincidentally, this game is taking place.

Before retiring, however, he spent quite a lot of money to have a magician replace his wooden peg with a real leg again. As the magician made a few mistakes, Mario ended up in a wheelchair and the magician moved permanently to the nearest graveyard. Mario got rid of his eye patch (it itched too much, and interfered with his depth perception anyway), bought himself a nice home in town, and spends his days wheeling through the streets, drinking rum (hey, it's not gone!) and generally being nice to everyone, as long as his joints aren't aching. If they are, it's best to avoid him ...

Expect lots of "Yarr"-ing and "Matey"-ing.

I don't even want to know what my writing would be like if I were drunk ...

So we have:

Giles Jordan - Giles Jordan

Mynx - William Nolan

Tanuchan - Olayna Nolan

Gryphon - Aaron "Longbow"

Venefyxatu - Captain Mario Delas

Mithrandin - Friederich Mann

Lord Panther, Azuran and Ashtonblades all expressed interest, but haven't yet submitted a character. If they can get back to me before the end of the dayphase, then I'll reroll roles.

Edit: roles have been sent out. We have one wolf, one baner, one seer and three villagers.

Updated score sheet:

Giles Jordan - Giles Jordan - seer - 1st lynch

Gryphon - Aaron "Longbow"

Mithrandin - Friederich Mann

Mynx - William Nolan

Tanuchan - Olayna Nolan - baner - 1st wolf kill

Venefyxatu - Captain Mario Delas

You now have at least two days of dayphase in which to find the wolf. ;) Good luck!

The random numbers decided against Gryphon. Congratulations to the wolf, Mynx! (who would have won whichever way the lynching went).

Thanks to all who took part in this quite short game!
