Salinye Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 Hi there! Wow, the board got a makeover while I've been away! Anyway, life is incredible here in the land of the busy and lost and I thought I would drop in to say hello. I think of the people here and how things are going. I haven't been able to make The Pen a priority, but still wanted to stop by. :0) I hope that everything is wonderful for you all and that the upcoming holidays are bringing you anticipation of FUN things rather than stress! (It brings me both!) Sophia (Baby #5) is doing just fabulous, which is in stark contrast to the process of bringing her into the world. (Babypalooza 2005 has ended!) She's 3 months old and really really beautiful and sweet. Her sisters and brothers are really enjoying her. I can't do my doula work while I have a nursing baby so I've started a business called "The Scrap Yard". It's a scrapbooking business and soon I'll have an online store to go with the local business I've been doing. It's been a lot of fun, but a lot of work. I'm hoping the holidays will bring in some extra money for Christmas. I'll have to post some pics of my work and kits some time so you can see what I do. :0) I was helping a friend with her booth at a big convention in the Tacoma Dome recently and the woman who runs the convention has a store in riverside California. She asked to buy my kits wholesale to sell in her store! I was very flattered. Although I do want to get my things in scrapbook stores, I've decided not to work with her store. But, the compliment gave me confidence in my work!! :0) Anyway, New baby, new business and homeschooling has kept me running! I'm sure there are a million other things we've been up to, but those are the biggies. Again, I really hope you are all doing well and I miss a lot of things about being here regularly and talking with many of you. :0) ~Salinye
Tamaranis Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 It's good to sometimes just get confirmation that someone hasn't gone and died on you. You should update your sig, though. That quote is dated, now.
Ayshela Posted November 11, 2005 Report Posted November 11, 2005 hah, a Salinye sighting! =) glad to know all's well with you.
Mira Posted November 11, 2005 Report Posted November 11, 2005 Good to hear that you are doing well Sal, hope you can make your way back here when life slows down some.
Gyrfalcon Posted November 11, 2005 Report Posted November 11, 2005 Glad to know you're doing well, Salinye, as is the baby. Also, it's good to see that your life is as busily hectic as normal - it gives a constant in the world.
Salinye Posted November 14, 2005 Author Report Posted November 14, 2005 There, I updated the quote in my sig JUST for you, Tamned. ~Salinye
Appy Posted November 14, 2005 Report Posted November 14, 2005 Yay it's a Salinye! *hugs* Good to see you, and good to hear you're doing well in your own crazy-busy way. Thanks for stopping by and not forgetting us
Patrick Posted November 14, 2005 Report Posted November 14, 2005 Glad to hear from you Salinye! Here's to hoping real life shall let you come back here sooner or later.
Gyrfalcon Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 *laughs* Ah, what horrible dark humor your quote possesses.
Salinye Posted November 15, 2005 Author Report Posted November 15, 2005 LOL I knew *YOU'DE* appreciate it, GyrE! I miss the "Jack Handy" days of Saturday Night Live. That's back when the show was actually funny! :0) It's refreshing to stop in here. :0) ~Salinye
The Big Pointy One Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 Good to see you around, as always, Sal! ^.^
Tamaranis Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 (edited) Pft. The Big Pointy One comes in all "Good to have you back," as if he'd been continously active over the last few months and wasn't putting in a reapparance himself. Edited November 23, 2005 by Tamaranis
Katzaniel Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 *points and giggles at the irony of Tam's comment* Appendum: Tam, you got rid of your old sig! Gah!
Tamaranis Posted November 25, 2005 Report Posted November 25, 2005 (edited) I told Salinye she should change her sig and she retaliated by stealing the Jack Handy scene. I'm left with no choice but to switch to song lyrics. Anyway: Look how disruptive Salinye is! Imagine what would happen if she really came back for real? mIRC the other night as it was + Salinye? Madness! Edited November 25, 2005 by Tamaranis
The Big Pointy One Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 *Mr Bunny hops in, wearing a black tux and some sweet raybands, and leaves a note that reads:* "..." ...included beneath is a handy translation "...who said he was gone? Who said he's here? Who are you talking about... you don't know anything! Move along, nothing to see here folks."
