Sweetcherrie Posted April 29, 2005 Report Posted April 29, 2005 (edited) Probably not the best rhythm nor the best rhyme, but it felt good to write this and get it out of my system. We all carry our history through time Who are you to say That yours is heavier than mine I need not know about the pity stories Your problems with the world What I want right now Should go untold Did you even pay attention When I let you see What it really means That you are there for me You who are my heart Should know better than the rest That my feelings and emotions Are not there to test Raw intentions tear me up Leave me without breath Left for words Slowly bleeding to death I only have myself to blame Only have myself to scorn It’s too late My soul is déjà forlorn Mind, body and spirit Joined as one Betrayed my whiter half And all reason is gone How could I lose all hope into this dark pool Lose myself and feel like such a fool How can my emotions be tied So strongly to yours Our histories Tightly entwined at their core Edited April 29, 2005 by Sweetcherrie
Peredhil Posted April 29, 2005 Report Posted April 29, 2005 *silently hugs to acknowledge the heart* As for the poem, I miss punctuation () but it reads well to me out loud.
