The Pen is Mightier than the Sword

Its just a dollar-fifty to start anew

Throw in your colors

Or throw in your whites

And add some detergent, just a cup will do.

Press the black button and away we go.

Now just sit back and enjoy the show.

Around, around and around some more.

Your foot taps patiently on the floor

The buzzer sounds on the mystic machine.

And lo and behold your cloths are clean.

Its silly, but I had some time to kill while waiting for a dryer to open up. :)

Mira, you obviously do not have a wardrobe that consists of many clothing items containing "DO NOT DRY" or "DRY CLEAN ONLY" or "YOU NEVER SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT ME, I'M WAY TOO HIGH MAINTENANCE TO CARE FOR" tags. :D

I think your next poem should be about "If it can't be thrown in the dryer to be ironed, than it's not worth owning!"

I like your poem. Bringing the mundane to life is a nice gift.

Lol, this sounds so familiar.

My drying reck is my clothing cupboard half the time :D

and I'm also one of those people that buys clothes of which the lable says:

"No need for ironing, Wash whatever way you want to, dries quickly"

Yey! Another like myself! I am glad that we share interest in writing silly poems! I once wrote one about a shoe and another about a kiwi bird....

I enjoyed this! It made my day! (Except so did the weather- it's 67 degrees outside and beautiful!) But other than the weather, it's the best part of my day!

Write another!!! (Pwease?? *Gives the puppy dog eyes*)
