The Pen is Mightier than the Sword

Spacing my hands to encompass

The crisp softness of life,

That beneath my gentle fingers slips,

As I trace the beauty of you.

Touch of searching patient love,

That learns each subtle curve, and kink

Taste of longing upon the kiss

That lets me of your beauty drink.

Where in the embrace

Did I find your heart?

Pure, subtle gift of love,

Cherished as crystal and silver wrought,

By hand of spirit’s fire spun.

Gift given, never won.

As usual you've employed your gift to good measure.

When I read this work of yours it generates in my mind echos of people and places, memories out of my own experience. Well done wordsmith, it's amasing how you manage to touch the heart so masterfully when you write.

Had I a tenth of your skill with words I'd count myself a talented Gryphon.

If nothing else, we have a butt-kicking Gryphon. That's got to count for something.

A butt-kicking Gryphon who's in a relationship with a psychotic Mynx...

Count for something? It's just plain fun!

LOL

I'm laughing at the last comment made.

Now, about the poem. I thought it was very sensual and intimate. To me, it only brought to my mind one image. One that could only be felt between two people truly and intimately in love.

Being the romantic at heart that I am, I very much liked it. Thanks, winged one.
