The Pen is Mightier than the Sword

Weary carnival goers began to gather their things and turned their flagging steps toward the Keep. Hugs and congratulations to the many winners abounded as clusters of people moved this way and that, slowly clearing the Courtyard and surrounding grounds.

Dain begain directing his crews to dismantle the rides and load the equipment. Wagons moved about the gounds with all the purpose and direction of ants gathering their stores for the winter, and the grounds were just as purposefully cleared.

Wyvern was finally released from duty at the dunk tank. He was handed a terrycloth robe, enabling him to - with great relief - shed the coconut shell bikini Salinye had "gifted" him with.

Shouts echoed over murmuring undertones as the dismantling continued. Gaily coloured tents collapsed and rolled to be stacked in orderly coloured stripes across the ground. When the last of them was down they began to disappear into the wagons, which still seemed far too small to hold them all.

With everything loaded, the grounds cleaned up, and one last tour done to ensure all was as it should be, Ayshela and Nyyark bade Dain farewell as they had welcome - though this time Alaeha, Valdar, Finnius, Salinye, Lady Celes and Katzaniel stayed to give their thanks and best wishes for safe journeys and profitable ventures.

The vividly coloured caravan rolled out the gates into fading sunlight amid farewell shouts, smiles and waves. The last thing anyone at the Keep heard as the caravan rolled into the distance was "See you this winter!"
