Peredhil Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 I'll make this one easy. When the sun goes down, and the clouds all frown, Night has begun for the sunset. See it with your eyes, Earth's re-energized, By the sun's rays everyday. Take a look out there, planets everywhere. When the sun goes down, and the clouds all frown, Night has begun for the sunset. Shadows on the ground, never make a sound, Fading away in the sunset. Night has now become day for everyone. I can see it all, from this great height, I can feel the sun, slipping out of sight. And the world still goes on, through the night.
Regel Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 Moody Blues: Days of Future Past is the album came out in '67. Song title is "Evening: The Sun Set: Twilight Time " Probably one of the more significant albums of the sixties. Nights in White Satin ruled the jukeboxes in the cafeteria at school. Here is mine: The minstrel in the gallery looked down upon the smiling faces. He met the gazes --- observed the spaces between the old men's cackle. He brewed a song of love and hatred --- oblique suggestions --- and he waited. He polarized the pumpkin-eaters --- static-humming panel-beaters --- freshly day-glow'd factory cheaters (salaried and collar-scrubbing). He titillated men-of-action --- belly warming, hands still rubbing on the parts they never mention. He pacified the nappy-suffering, infant-bleating one-line jokers --- T.V. documentary makers (overfed and undertakers). Sunday paper backgammon players --- family-scarred and women-haters. Then he called the band down to the stage and he looked at all the friends he'd made. The minstrel in the gallery looked down on the rabbit-run. And threw away his looking-glass - saw his face in everyone.
Merelas Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 Hmm... I think it's just called Minstrel in the Gallery by... Jethro something or other... maybe?
