But not in a bad way, in more of an utterally lost and confused sort of way, like i'm totally missing something here that i should be getting but don't. My quest for knowlege however has led me to ask: What is Perl? If it's something that rquires a good deal of explainin, you can feel free to PM me, because I really hate feeling confused.

Perl is a language especially suited to working with text, doing things like searching for certain words, or replacing text, etc. Actually, that's just about .0001% of what it's good for, but that's what I'm working with right now, anyway..
