Salinye Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 There is a book called "The Gift of Fear"! NOOOOO I did not post this because I think you're copying lol I just thought it was interesting. It's all about how women should listen to their natural instincts, self defense and what not. A book I was referred too as I'm about to start a self defense and karate class. :0) Just thought I'd share!! :0) I'm sure it's not even as close to amazing as your story is!! ~Salinye
Tralla Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 D'OH! >.< Oh maaaan... I liked that title, too... *sigh*
Salinye Posted February 20, 2004 Author Report Posted February 20, 2004 Ohh, good point. You could just make it "Gift of Fear". Do you have to change it? Is there some rule that all books have to have different titles? The other book is definately a completely different genre. What do you think? ~Salinye
Vanessa Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 Can't be any rule like that-there are several books with the same name, and films as well (i.e "The Mask").
Yui-chan Posted February 21, 2004 Report Posted February 21, 2004 Yep, I agree with Vanessa. What makes a book's full 'title' is both author's name and title, so ... "The Gift of Fear" by Tralla Q. Person is different from "The Gift of Fear" by Someone Not Tralla. If you doubt me, do an Amazon search by title, and see how many you get with the same name. Heck, I have two books called 'Anatomy for the Artist' sitting on my bookshelf at home, but they're as different as night and ... well... evening. Completely different authors. No worries, Tralla. You don't have to change your title at all. When you publish, can I get a signed copy, though? Yours, ~Yui
Gyrfalcon Posted February 21, 2004 Report Posted February 21, 2004 *signs up as well for a signed edition... please?*
Ozymandias Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 Ozy elbows, gouges, shoves and commits several acts of vague excessive violence to get his #3 spot. Me next!!!!
Peredhil Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 Peredhil is FAR too Polite to fight for a place in line for Tralla's signed book copying. However, his Bodyguards aren't, and they love Tralla's story too... The booksigning line is beginning to look a bit like a game of Nimball as nearly all the eager Penners fight for such a worthy prize... Yui, stepping in and out of shadows, manages to retain her #1 spot, but boyo is it close!
Justin Silverblade Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 OOoooOoOooOOOooo, me too! me too! IwantoneIwantoneIwantone! *cough* *ahem* Uh... I mean.... umm... If it's not too much trouble, a signed copy would be neat.
Tralla Posted March 5, 2004 Report Posted March 5, 2004 LoL If I ever get published, you'll be the first to know. ... And to get signed copies. =P
