dragonqueen Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 Half empty or half full It makes no difference to the fool Thirsty for some water Or to the wiseman Parched for a drink. "How can we judge our outlook on life By the measure of liquid in a cup? 'Tis pure foolery." So says the wiseman. "I do not see how this cup of water Can tell me my philosphy. I think 'tis you the fool, not I!" So says the fool. Half empty or half full. It makes no difference To the wiseman or the fool.
Regel Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 Well done and since the question begs to be answered my answer is.....both. I have been both (some say I still am) and have looked at the glass from both sides. An interesting side note to people who have had more it seems half empty, but to people who have had less it definately looks half full.
Alaeha Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 My answer to that question is invariably "It's not half anything. It's empty. I was thirsty. Is this a problem?" I like this. Can't really think of any suggestions except to put in the missing quote mark at the beginning of these lines: I think 'tis you the fool, not I!" So says the fool. (also my favorite lines, I think)
