Falcon2001 Posted January 7, 2004 Report Posted January 7, 2004 The song of the sword rings out again Who will answer it's reckless call? The swarthy pirate from the roiling sea Or the King of the mountain tall? The rings sound off their shearing might The morning star rises up to fight The second sun rises up in the sky The song of the sword brings endless night AGOC was a story I was writing quite a while ago. A Game of Chess: The Tale of the Five Rings was the full title and if you hunt around you can find it. Either way, I just thought about that and blurped this into existence. Have fun hope you all liked it.
Vlad Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 I liked the light attitude this poem takes. The rhyme cheme seems kind of odd to me, but it doesn't really detract from th e poem. I like the imagery making the reader understand the rings are powerful. Good job, as always. - Vlad
