Falcon2001 Posted December 31, 2003 Report Posted December 31, 2003 Geez, performing in front of people is simultaneously frightening beyond anything you've ever imagined in your entire life...and strangely validating. Anyway, wrote this song to play at a new year's eve party. It's hard to pick up the beat without hearing it, but it's a steady tempo, note changes each line. There's a place at the end of the road where I can Be who I always wanted to be And every problem I ever had Ceases to scream Something burns brightly inside of me Something I always wanted to see A desire I thought could comfort me When I was down Well you won't find me On the side of the road Sitting there confused Wondering where to go All my life I've been searching for the Place where I can finally rest my head Somewhere nice and peaceful A house and a bed Sad happy in the twilight haze it burns Wandering through life's crazy twists and turns But I know that I'll find What I'm searching for
Vlad Posted December 31, 2003 Report Posted December 31, 2003 Wow. I like this. I admit that I probably didn't read it to the right beat, but it was excellent. Truly inspiring. I love reading your work, man.
Merelas Posted January 2, 2004 Report Posted January 2, 2004 Oooh! I really, really liked this a lot. I so wish that I could've been there to hear it with the rhythym and acompaniment that it deserves... dang! It's so good, and I bet it was better with the music and the flow of other stuff. Good stuff, Falcon!
Loki Wyrd Posted January 3, 2004 Report Posted January 3, 2004 I'd like to hear it as you intended, but it still reads nicely. Keep on keeping on.
