Salinye Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 If you could liken people at The Pen to Disney Characters, who would you make people and why? (*snickers thinking this oughtta be interesting*) ~Salinye
Zariah Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Disney, eh? hmmmm.... Peredhil reminds me of Merlin from The Sword and The Stone
Ayshela Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Merlin, eh? (remembers scenes from that movie and collapses into hysterical giggles) umm... yeah. *ahem* umm... hmm. i don't know, will have to think about that. Interesting question!
Lady Celes Crusader Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Disney? Now that's weird. I think Ayshela would be Belle. She is feminine, loves writings and is very strong willed.
lumpenproletariat Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 (edited) hmmm, Zool is goofy, hands down ;p Pluto would be Tyrion Orlan as bugs bunny Wyvern as daffy, soooo definitely , possibly sylvester though, or maybe scar(?) from lionking Tweety...hmm Elmer Fudd would be...thats a tough one, ummm no one comes to mind And I see Peredhil as simbas father from the lion king..mufasa? I can't remember Yosemite Sam, we'll have to go with Sali, just to annoy her ;p {I know some of these are warner bros, but they are what came to mind} Edited December 4, 2003 by James
Gwaihir Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Salinye is like Flounder from the little mermaid because...AAAck *dashes off, because she sees Salinye glaring threateningly*
Tyrion Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 lump is sooooooo Dale! I can even picture him with the Hawaiian shirt.
Aardvark Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 I liken Lumpen to the broom from Fantasia No matter how many times I hit him with an axe....
X-Sabre Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 ! Now see, I'm gonna have to go watch that movie! Falcon as Timon from the Lion King.. I don't know why, just who came to mind.. *shrugs*
lumpenproletariat Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 so that would make Aardvark mickey mouse?
Alaeha Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Nah... Aardvark would be Mickey's stunt double. He's the guy who swapped costumes with Mickey during a break and took an axe to the Broom. He moonlights as a Professional Assassin. I think Gwaihir, or at least the character of Gwaihir, counts as Goofy. Hmm... I don't know him terribly well, but I tentatively nominate Cyril as that old professor. Ludwig von Duck or whatever his name was. I haven't watched Disney in ages. I liken Solivagus to Anastasia's Rasputin, because he just won't go away. Wyvern, of course, is Scrooge. Or else Pinocchio (or however the heck you spell it) "I want to be a real dragon!"
Wyvern Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 I agree that Goofy would fit the comically clumsy character of Gwaihir very well... Zool would probably be more along the lines of the Genie from "Aladdin," with his upbeat attitude, imaginative creations, and Robin Williams voice... If Wyvern were to be associated to a "Duck Tales" character, I think he might fit into the role of Scrooge McDuck's arch-nemesis Glaumgold the best, as he displays the less moral side of the Quest for profits. Of course, he'd probably have a bit of the dragon Mushu from "Mulan" somewhere in his blood... Melba would probably be the bastard hybrid of Ursula from "The Little Mermaid" and Cruella Deville from "101 Dalmations," with a touch of Tarzan's gorilla mother thrown in for effect. Yui could fit into the role of Morgana from "Darkwing Duck," as she represents the shadowy and mysterious sorceress figure. Perhaps some elements from Esmerelda of "Hunchback of Notre Dame" also thrown in the mix for a sense of intrigue... Orlan would probably go with Hercules, simply because Hercules has the largest female fan base of any Disney hero. There could be a hint of Gaston's attitude from "Beauty and the Beast" in there as well... The Elder Dwarves of the Mighty Pen could perhaps be related to Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers, or even the hyenas from "The Lion King" in the worst of moods... Of course, they have no connection to the film "Snow White" whatsoever. *whistles innocently* Tzimfemme could almost be an amplified version of Megera from "Hercules," minus the toga and mingled with the bloodlust of Scar from "The Lion King" (particularly appropriate with Orlan as Hercules). Rydia would fit more along the lines of Jasmine from "Aladdin..." I mean, even the name refers to a shiny! Rosemary would probably fit best in the role of Pocahontes, who ignores the humans for the most part and communes with nature. As for Minta Rose, the first characters that come to mind are the original versions of Chip and Dale in their "taunt Donald Duck with our hyperactivity" days, mixed with the taste of sugar found in "Mary Poppins." I think that Lumpenproletariat might best fit the meerkat Timon from "The Lion King," with his laid back attitude and "Hakuna Mattata" motto for life... As for Aardvark, Disney has not yet developed an animation obscure enough to capture his essence on screen... ;p
Quincunx Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 As for Aardvark, Disney has not yet developed an animation obscure enough to capture his essence on screen... ;p That's why we turn to Pixar for Aardy. . .or should I say, "P. Sherman"?! Wyvern is entirely Mushu. It's painfully simple to imagine Yui-chan picking him up by the tail, scrutinizing the 'trust me!' smile and the burn marks from the latest get-rich-quick backlash, and wondering aloud what her ancestors have provided. Belle's father IS a gnome--Astralis. troubled sleep belongs with the gargoyles (I'm drawing a blank for the female's name, however) as does Damon Inferel. Falcon's people tend to knot together in my mind but I am sure they come together to be David Xanatos. Last, but not least, Melba sits at the radio operator's booth in Atlantis, gossiping placidly as the entire structure goes up in flames. . .
Salinye Posted December 4, 2003 Author Report Posted December 4, 2003 Wyvern-I was going to think up something clever here, but Alaeha just ruled with the Pinnochio “I wanna be a REAL dragon.” Thing. :0) Gyrfalcon-The prince from Sleeping Beauty, because he’s the only prince in all the movies that actually carries a bow and is useful. *grins* Ayshela-Cinderella because she’s always helping everyone and doing good things we just know she’s going to jump in a pumpkin and come out a queen one day! Alaeha-Is Bugs Bunny while in the blonde wig comic routine. (*giggles* Don’t ask!) Yui-Belle because she’s headstrong, cute and always has her nose in a book. Consequently, she’s commonly followed around by a brute. (Aegon) Gwai-Scuttles from The Little Mermaid. “Have I ever been wrong before?…..I mean when it’s important!” Lumpen-Snow White. *Snickers* You can ask HIM why. Orlan-The Tramp from Lady and the Tramp. Zool-CASPER THE FRIENDLY GHOST!! YAYYYY! Peredhil-Rafiki from the Lion King. “Wise old voodoo Jamaican Baboon in Africa.” Somehow it just fits. Falcon-Ariele from The Little Mermaid just because he’d die and go to heaven if he was a hot red headed chick in a shell bikini. X-Sabre-The Beast from Beauty and the Beast because there is a prince in there somewhere that rough exterior!! :0) Merelas-The tiger from Alladin. I mean how could you NOT want to just hug him? Ozymandias-One of those male Egyptian dancers on the side of the pots in the opening song of Hercules! Valdar-One of the gargoyle’s from the Hunchback of Notre Dame. They have pointy ears, observe everything and just toss in a smart arse comment now and then. Damon –Pain and Panic from Hercules. They try awefully hard to be good evil demons, but somehow just don’t quite pull it off. *grins* Cyril-Owl from Winnie the Pooh! Racouol-Captain hook from Peter Pan just because they share that whole one eye thing. Tamaranis-That bad guy from Hercules who rules Hates and has that kickin’ dry sense of humor. Stick-Thumper from Bambi. Just on principal alone. Justin-Cronk from Emperor’s New Groove. “Squeak Squeakity Squeak squeak.” Nyark-The skunk from Bambi. “You can call me flower if you want to.” *giggles* Rune-Tinker Bell because she’s sweet, cute, helpful and Everybody loves her. Aegon-The Chimney Sweep from Mary Poppins just because he’s a bloody Brit! Degenero-The Vegetarian shark from Finding Nemo. Tara-That main cat from Aristocats. *sings* “Everybody! Everybody! Everybody wants to be a CAT!” Daryl-I know the obvious would be the fox from fox in the hound, but we’re not going that route. I choose..hmmm *thinks* Alladin! Little riff raff street rat thief!
The Big Pointy One Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Hahaha! These are all so excellent, and yet, I can't point out any, myselves. Everyone's done a good job so far, though, and I definitely agree, Salinye, I am just like Thumper. I mean, that dude's on crack! Okay, I'm not on crack, but everyone accuses me of it! Ha! He's all crazy and stuff, then he finds a chick, and goes crazy for her (eventually) and they have kids... and whoo! Wee! (I think that's how it goes... I haven't seen Bambi since I was but a wee lad.)
Solivagus Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Thanks a load for your comparison Alaeha
Aardvark Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 If Disney can't do me justice, pick from the wonderful world of fiction So far, all I can come up with for me is Murdoch from the A Team Maybe with a touch of Ed, the hyena from the Lion King
