Like being the guy downstream of a burst dam that used to be a tiny creek that is an idea. With a bucket. Scoop the waters of the flood, and chuck them in your field of creativity to nourish the crop.

Question is, will you be there to catch the flow, or will you let it pass on by. Or if the water sufficiant to grow the crop.

~Very nice imaginary! I can picture it *giggle* .. funniest to me is, I had this idea about poetry just last night..

and wrote it down using the flashlight and booklet I have next to my bed for such occccasions (the flashlight so as not to wake my hubby) ;) ~

On Poetry

These are the short

Little thinkers

Mind twisters

head cleaners

making room for fantasies bigger

Take a concept

thought or picture

Break it down

to the essentials

...word them as your own

Fix it together again

flourished or minimized

and a poem is born

Most likely ingredient

subject or invoker

Emotions

Angst

Sadness

Fear

Confusion

Happiness is often taken for granted

No need to examine it

~ rough form, just an opinion.. *runs back into the flow to catch that one sparkling fish that'll nourish her ideas even more* ~

~ PS: I just noticed that the line Happiness is often taken for granted sounds strange maybe, just remember that I'm talking about poetry here.. most people enjoy and endulge in happiness instead of writing about it, right? ^_^ * krggh* end of transmission *kgrhrk* ~

Essays...

(Insert Convulsions Here)

Huh? Wha? *Stutters*

Sorry. I've been up all night with my last essay for English 101... :( Defending V.I. Lenin is harder than I thought it would be; especially since my heart is in it only in that my grades depend on it and it's a fun challenge.

Truth of it is that the guy was a genius. An obsessive, arrogant genius... but most of those who shape history are. :P

Anyways... Writing...

The trick is to be looking for the areas where the water is going to break loose, so that you'll be there. Sitting around in the middle of nowhere won't make the waters come to you. :) (That's been my experience, anyway)

Or will you forsee the dambursting ahead of time and dig channels and trenches to divert the overflow away from your fortress and into your enemy's wheat fields, flooding valuable farmland and infesting it with dam variety crocadiles and pirannahs.

Writing is like a second language, once learned, it flows freely form my fingertips and out to share with the world. A great exploration of the inner thoughts....the spyglass for the writer who is the explorer of unknown lands.... writing to me is the medium for my creativity.....

That's called politics, 'vark.

And you know what we do with politicians!

Believe every word of rubbish they spout at election time, the complain about their broken promises, bitch about their tax hikes, whine about them voting to give themselves another payrise, then believing every word of their rubbish next election, vote them in again....
